Formerly fronted by late singer Harold Melvin, The Blue Notes went from a Philadelphia group into a national sensation thanks to their Grammy-nominated single "If You Don't Know Me By Now" as well as "Don't Leave Me This Way" and "Bad Luck."
Originally formed by five U.S. Army soldiers stationed in West Germany, Heatwave went on to score enduring soul hits that burned up the dancefloor ("Boogie Nights") and warmed hearts ("Always and Forever").
The members of Bloodstone first joined forces as a doo-wop group in 1962. Later, the Kansas City, Missouri natives relocated to L.A., morphed into an accomplished funk band and racked up hits including "We Go a Long Way Back" and the classic slow jam "Natural High."
