The World To Me Tour
Through his emotional tales of anger and passion, love, and solitude, Manchester-born singer-songwriter David Gray's trademark style of fiery intensity countered with tender poignancy started to find an audience with the 1993 release of his debut album A Century Ends.
It was David Gray's 1998 self-financed fourth album, White Ladder, that marked a sublime leap forward. Recorded in a London apartment with an easy blend of samplers and acoustic guitar, White Ladder immediately went into the Irish Top 30. To further move things along, former road pal Dave Matthews, who had taken a liking to Gray, made White Ladder the debut release on his own ATO Records imprint in 2000.David Gray's The EPs 92-94 followed the multi-platinum album in July 2001 and coincided with reissues of A Century Ends and 1994's Flesh.
Gray reached a wide audience in the States, and A New Day at Midnight followed up his successful international breakthrough in the fall of 2002. Gray worked with Björk and Rufus Wainwright producer Marius De Vries for 2005's Life in Slow Motion. His latest album, A Thousand Miles Behind is available exclusively through DavidGray.com.
