The 84th annual Daily News Golden Gloves Finals will be held at The Theater at Madison Square Garden on April 7 and 8, 2011. The Daily News Golden Gloves, the oldest and largest amateur boxing tournament in the United States, is best known as the launching pad of many boxing greats, including Emile Griffith, Floyd Patterson, Riddick Bowe, Jose Torres, and Danny Jacobs. The Daily News Golden Gloves tournament consists of 10 weeks of elimination bouts held throughout the New York metropolitan area, culminating with the finals at the Garden.
